About the author


Datan Dorot is the principal of Dorot Law, PA, in Aventura.

He practices in the fields of estate planning, asset protection, and international taxation.
He is a graduate of the University of Florida Levine College of Law and earned his LLM in estate planning from the University of Miami School of Law.
Dorot is the recipient of the 2009-10 New Tax Lawyer Fellowship of the Tax Section of The Florida Bar and serves as the vice chair of the Estate & Gift Taxation Committee of the Federal Tax Division of the section.
